On Monday night I was voted as Chair of Council and Mayor of Wincanton. From being on the council for five years, to then becoming its Vice-Chair and Chair of Personnel, to now wearing the chain for our town – it’s a huge privilege.
Thank you to Ex-Cllr Howard Ellard for all his previous work as Mayor, and to my fellow councillors for putting their faith in me.
Wincanton is a brilliant town with brilliant people.
I will do my best to be out and about, to listen, and to represent the whole town with pride – from the High Street to Cale Park and beyond.
More on my plans regarding civic and ceremonial duties for the next six months will be sent out soon. I want you all to be informed about what’s going on, to have an opportunity to ask me or other councillors questions, and to be absolutely transparent.
